Car dies/idles low
I am trying to figure out what is wrong with my sister's 2003 CRV and wanted to get your guys' input.
It had been going through gas much quicker than normal, there is no CEL, and it recently started having a weak idle until it just died while driving. Now the engine starts but you have to give it throttle as soon as it starts to keep it running. Then while it's warming up, it only idles at about 500 RPM. Once it warms up, the idle won't hold. Once I'm driving even when gasing it, it will still die.
I had orginally thought that it was the IAC valve or the TPS, but the fact that it is not throwing a CEL is making me think twice about it.
Any ideas?

I'm not too sure, but could it be a dirty fuel filter? or dirty fuel injectors? or it could be dirty air filter? something clogged? not too sure, but i guess all possibilities.
Or maybe you can adjust the idle control?

Re: Car dies/idles low
From what I know, the crv's with K series motors don't have replaceable fuel filters. And if they do, it's not a regular maintanence piece like they were on the B series motors. Air filter is clean, injectors...hmm, it seems possible, but then I would expect to be seeing some black smoke out the exhaust. Maybe I should pull the plugs and check them out. Thanks.
Any other thoughts?
