Default low idle ...

i just changed my fuel filter .. and my car seems to be running smoother.. but my idle is pretty low .. like ~400. i'm going to clean out my iacv this weekend when i install my turbo kit, but could anything else cause it to idle lower? could i have fuked up when i installed my filter?

Not unless you took off your old filter with a hammer and a prybar. Smells like your IACV could be stuck closed from dirt and filth. 4-450 RPM is base closed throttle idle(IACV not contributing to idle control).

theres a little flat head screw on the throttle body. start your car and give it a couple of turns.

Could be the ECU relearning fuel trims possibly from proper fuel pressure or you simply have a bad/temperamental IACV. In all honesty, sometimes my EM1 hits that low of an idle. Drops to about 450 RPM, then jumps back up to 750-800, and i'm too cheap to spring for a 175$ part that I sprayed out countless times with cleaner when the car does just fine with the 220k that it has on the clock. I wouldn't go turning screws on the TB though. It's not a carb.

LMAO

sorry just found it funny thats all

however with respect too your problem you could mess with the suggested quote or just up the idle air on the TB

OMG thats your reasoning

it is controlling idle air speed which in tern controls the idle marker

a carb isnt even a replacement for a throttle body. a carb has its own throttle body on it.
