can you bend a valve by not overreving?
I have a 99 integra ls and I think I might have bent a valve. My question is that can you bend a valve if you dont over rev. I drive my car everyday and never go past 4k. I'm pretty sure I bent a valve in my second cylinder? is it possible? i have 130k miles on my car. I just did a valve adjustment.
also... can you reuse a head gasket after you remove the head?

Did it start running crappy after you did the valve adjustment?

its just starting missfiring all of a sudden one morning because the light started blinking. and then their was a ticking sound. I did a valve adjustment after the misfire and still the same. I dont think the timing belt skiped a teeth. What causes a burnt valve? maybe thats what i have. Everything is stock. I'm planning on changing the valves on this cylinder. I was wondering if I would be able to use valves out of another ls head. My car is complete stock and not sure why it did this all of a sudden.

Sounds like a timing issue. Deffinately check your cam gear(s) and see what posistions they are in relation to the crank at TDC.

they timing is correct, when the tdc mark on the crank is aligned, the cam sprokets are allighned and face up. so not sure. I dont think its a timing issue because its only occuring in cylinder 2. When i unplug the fuel injector plug while its running, nothing happens. I already checked fuel and ignition system and its not the corporate. any other suggestion would be helpful.

A bent valve will show symptoms primarily at low RPM.

In B-series engines, the exhaust valves can hit the pistons during an overrev.

Sounds simple but did you check your spark plug gap?
Don't reuse head gaskets they are like 20-30.00
Technically you shouldn't reuse your headstuds either especially if you rag on it.
Definately do a compression test first and if numbers are low do a leak down test. Then you will know if it is the valves or the rings.
