camshaft question
The ECU activates VTEC. So if you don't change the ECU, then VTEC will engage at the same rpm with any cam you put in there.
Will it change the sound? That's not something I have ever concerned myself with.

but to answer the question.... yea by changing the overlap and the lift it will change how the engine resonates and thus be louder, but in that case why don't you by that speaker that attaches to you tps and give you a whoosh sound when you let off the gas
