i know this might have been on here before or it might just be a dumb question. but i was wondering if you change your vtec soleniod for example you have a gsr motor and you put a type-r vtec soleniod on it would it change the sound of your vtec?

No, it wouldn't change anything.. All the vtec noid does is allows oil pressure to engage the vtec pins..
