Default breaking cv joints

ok..first ive got a 91 integra, ls/vtec, s1 b16 tranny. 94+ tokico struts with neuspeed springs. the other night i was driving normal and then i came to do a u-turn, turned the wheel all the way, started driving and then it felt as if i was driving over my wheel. well we stopped and looked at the boot and it was ripped. this was on a rebuilt axle. as the same thing happened 2 weeks prior to this. all the motor mounts are ok as the motor was just installed like 4 weeks ago. my cars not insanely dropped or anything. any ideas as to why it would do this? oh yea. both times its been on the drivers side axle. any help is appreciated.

I would like to know this as well as I keep breaking axles in my DA too. I just had all motor mounts replaced with Energy suspension inserts but my axle on the driver side just keeps breaking. Every time I put in a new axle its like too short or something and I can see the CV boot being stretched and the air sucked out of it. I have no idea what to do and my car has been off the road for 2 weeks because it just keeps braeking axles. I have been getting axles from 3 diffrent places so I doubt that all these places are giving me the wrong axle. Is something out of wack or my frame bent or something??

you sure your getting the right axle? i know i had the same problem i compared a non abs axle with an abs axle and the abs one was like 1-2 inches longer which may be enough to help you out

Have you checked the intermediate shaft? Any worn ball joints or tie rods? Your problem is weird. I use DA axles on my 88 hatch so I wanna know what the deal is.

I always ask for the ABS axles. It just keeps breaking them. When I install the new axle and fit everything the way it should be, I can tell that the new axle is being pulled out. The boot towards the intermed. shaft gets all deflated and the air is sucked out of it. I thought it was my motor mounts, but I just replaced those this weekend and Im still having the same problem. I dont know what to do

i use non abs axles. I figured i'd have these problem since i have a swapped car. I think it's weird that this is happening considering those axles are natural to your car. It's been a year since I swapped axles. The boot never broke on mine until i tried to remove the axle. My boots are compressed. I think they were dryrotted.
