my car seems to be spewing black smoke from the exhaust does anybody have an idea why and how to solve it. and please does anybody know the valve clearance for the valves of the car.

my car is a honda civic 1.6i 1988 model with a sohc engine.
the label under my bonnet that is supposed to have the valve clearance ( i suspect) is in german and i definetely can't speak german
i really need help

 

black = rich
blue = burning oil

 

it is black, it comes out when i step on the gas do you have any idea why and how to fix it

 

could be valve seals

 

Check your spark plugs. If you have oil on them then your lookin to do a compression and leak down test. Might be your piston rings.

 

Do a leakdown test.

 

check your fuel pressure first
