This happened tonight twice in a row.. afterwards I just stopped driving it hard..

I was in 3rd gear revv'd to 8.5k shifted then vrooooooom **** had to of gone up to 11k.. i've pushed my car hard plenty of times.. and this has not happened in the past.. but lately i've been noticing sometimes when i am driving normally the clutch kinda hangs half way mashed.. then pops up.. well combining that problem and when at high rpms and shifting i am thinking that's what caused it to just vroom up to 11k..

any ideas guys?? i'm really pissed i can't even take my car to high rpms because of this..

 

is yours all motor or you are running turbo? if so how many boost are you running, and what brand of clutch are you using and how long have you used them? The most common problem when that happens is that your clutch won't able to handle the power at higher rpm.

 

I'm all motor.. estimated at around 200 the the wheels and i have an exedy clutch/flywheel..

 

The throwout bearing could be binding. Was it lubed up real good when you installed the clutch? Does the clutch pedal come up normally or does it jump up?

 

it sticks part of the way then it just jumps up..
