Default Best Bang In A EG For The Money?

I need a better engine in my hatch but I can't decide on what I want. Right now my chocies are a b16a2 or a b18c1. Which would be the best swap to do? Looking to have a nice little n/a monster on in my hands.

Also, I'm gonna search, but people have said do an ls swap and then go ls/vtec. Is it good for daily driving?

get a d16z and turbo it,, for the money..
if you want NA go for b18 over b16 cuz torque rules, youd see more torque with a turbo d.... everybody and their mom has a b- series civic... seeing a nice turbo sohc would make my day

I went with with a B16 in my EG because it was a little cheaper than the GSR swap. Now I'm building a GSR block. In hindsight, I should have bought the GSR to start. Live and learn....

I completly agree with you..i shouldve just bought a B18C instead of my CR-Vtec setup..turns out that i need to sleeve my B20 anyways soo i couldve just bought a B18C sleeved and bored to 84~85mm...now i have to worry bout buying a crank gurdle too.. .."live and learn"...
one cool thing about the CR-Vtec is that it says B20 on the block... and my JDM head has a big "VTEC" (not "V-TECH") on the valve cover...

If money is an issue look into a straight B18b or B20b/z. Mate it with a GSR tranny and you have an easy mid 14 second street car. Torque owns man, in my car I rips most DOHC VTEC powered civics from the line.

D16z6 turbo Ls turbo , you can easily take one of these setups much further than what you would pay for a gsr. But once you turbo a gsr different story just decide what you would be happy with, gsr are great though.

What happened to your B20 block that caused you to have to resleeve it? Did you crack a sleeve? What setup were you running? NA or FI? etc...
