if u had 5000 would u buy a b16 rex for 3500, or eg no b16 for about 4?
im going to have about 5000, i want nice and i want fast. i figure the rex will be cheaper and already have a b16+ the money left over goes towards sprins/shocks, rota, hx, or 96 gsr's (painted black), cams etc. untill im out and i will have about 200-300 a week income durring the summer.
or i buy the eg, nicer but not enough money to make it look the way i want and be as quick. lets say about 3-4K and then id save to buy the b16 swap. still i wouldnt have mods or suspension or rims etc. id only have a little money for aftermarket parts
what would u choose?
im in a total bind. and i've been going back and forth constantly all day for about 3 days.

get an EG, and save money... then find a wrecked SI and throw that b16 in there... or do an LS swap...
get an EG, so many more possibilities than a rex... crx-s are small and can't hold b18s... get an EG and throw a b18c or b18b in there....

the crx ia a great car.... if you have another car to haul around your friends in!
I thought about buying one but decided against it because i wouldn't be able to take people anywhere or carry that much.
If this is just a fun car or a commute car get the CRX and have fun with it. use your other car to move stuff/people. But if you don't have another car, stay away from the 2-seaters.
I love my 93 coupe. room for 5 (kinda) and plenty of beer room in the trunk. Trunks are cool. I like trunks

I'd go EG, but try to talk the seller down. What year and model eg is it. I think 4k for a stock eg is kinda high, but then again maybe not depending on your area.

I agree with 92'gsrhatch. Get the EG and save up for a GSR instead of a b16. i originally wanted a b16 also but a friend sold me on the GSR, it's not THAT much more in terms of cost, and you get much more. But overall, just make sure you don't settle, get what you really want.

imo, get the crx. get a mugen / ww knock off kit all around, paint it, lower it, rims, and then you are done exterior. for the interior.. just change out the dash with something that doesnt look like ***.

i agree go eg find one for dirt *** cheap around town. 2 of my freinds bought their eg's fpr 1400 and 1600 and the bodies were not that bad in condition, threw swaps in them about a month after having the car and are enjoying it more than i did (took me a year) buying a mint 95 coupe for more money

look around hard for a dirt cheap eg... they are more comfortable and in my opinion they look nicer as well

if you look hard enough and be patient im sure you can find a eg in good to okay condition for about 2000-3000. and if your even more patient and look even harder you might be able to find a ek for about 4000-4500. good luck but key is to be patient dont buy the first thing you see.

people put h22s into damn crx's what the hell is that guy talking about...
i know the b18c5 is a sweet engine and is probably the best thing to come from honda, but i cant see myself paying 4500-5 Gs for one.......with 5Gs i could buy an eg buy an b18b, and allmost have enough to turbocharge it,...... but thats just me cause im a cheap bastard....
