Default beefing up d16 tranny

Ok so ive gone through two transmissions now with my d16 build making roughly 300hp and ive gone through two transmissions like i said and have no idea what i keep breaking because im scared to break into the transmission and much rather get some advice before i delve into this project. I wanted to know what you guys are using and what kind of upgrades i can do to make this next transmission work for a while. Ok more details i know.. Ok built d16 obviously making 300hp or better depending on the gas i run making over 400hp with race. I had an ex tranny then had to resort to an lx because i couldnt find something better around here. Ive got a 6puck and plate stock flywheel and solid mounts (Blk). So what kind of parts to do i need and what do you suggest for finding out more transmission part names and what not as well as general install. I found something on Civic Eg Shop. But if you would give me your feed back thank you......

Have you been to http://www.d-series.org and http://www.turbod16.com

There are a few items made but most of the guy's don't have any real issues.

Could it be the way your shifting, or is your car lowered a lot?

There's also the sticky at the top of this forum.

I have gone from 2nd to 4th to 5th a couple times but i dont make a habbit of it and i dont go to the track more then once a year or so. So i know its not due to harsh punishment. I dont know im still getting myself out of the habbit of down shifting. Other then that i dont grind gears and i dont burn the clutch, my buddies are amazed actually how smooth i engage and how quick without reving on it past 1k or keeping the clutch in more then a sec or two. I dont know what it could be.... Ive been told its just bad luck crap tranny with the car when i bought it and lucky enough to get another crap tranny the second goround. But since i built the motor i just wanted to see if you guys knew of any upgrades that would be beneficial so this doesnt happen again i heard someone saying something about the forks inside maybe something to do with that i dont know .....

Thanks again.

that is correct. ive been raping the ever living hell out of my car with the cg trans for some time now with zero problems. after going through eight 3rd and 4th gears, this was the cure for me.

gearspeed syncros will do nothing for you. waste of money. stock syncros are just fine. and its just syncros anyways. its not like you are breaking them.
