bad water pump

Default bad water pump

my car: 93civic si h/b w/98 B18C1

Problem: I dont get any heat when my engine is at idle, but if i rev it up i get heat,
but as soon as it goes down to idle i get cold air again. my tmp guage is reading ok. little less than 1/2 when i smote on the car (high rpm) temp goes down to 1/4
so i dont think anything is clooged what could it be?? thermostat or water pump
or whatever you guys say it is. please help me out??

when you mean heat, heat from where? I'm very confused to what it is you are asking.

By "I get heat" I'm assuming from the vents... How's the coolant level, how long has it been since you flushed the coolant? How many miles are on the car? My first thought is, coolant low or thermostat stuck..
