Default b18b1 heat problems

oka i know my water pump is going to hit the bed soon but i want to make sure the issues i have been haviong are caused from the pump. recently while i am at idle my heater will become cool until i let the rpm sit around 1500-2000 rpm for like 30 secs then the heater warms back up. second today my car started to over heat while i was idling until i eft the idle at 2000 rpm and the temp dropped and became normall is this a water pump? air bubble, or low coolant?

Have you tried bleeding your cooling system first? Its the cheapest method to fix the problem, so I would start off with that. It sounds like it possibly could be a water pump, but you may have air pockets in the cooling system. Make sure to place to front end up on jack stands and try to angle the car so the coolant travles trough the heater core. Your heat should be on HIGH also while doing this.

Your just having a ton of problems with this car aren't you? I believe I just commented on your other thread about your z6 stalling and cutting out. I will say it again... EASY WITH THE CAPITAL LETTERS.
