a kid with a 2001 civic EX says he got an h22 swap and turboed it. "lightened the motor and stuff" (what he said). its a 6 speed now too supposively.

I hope you asked him for a ride!!! That is swap is possible but not for the faint of pocketbook. If he was telling the truth, he probably would have at least used the correct terms. as for the 6 speed, he's a ricer-liar

I call BS in his case. Quaife makes a 6-sp sequential box I believe... it was either $6K or $15k, can't remember.

Obviously this guys all talk, if you hear this guy again then ask him if you and some buddies can check out his car just so that he has some proof to back up his words. If he refuses then ask him if you can go on a ride with him and see if he can actually shift into 6th gear, also if he has a turboed H22 then you should be able to feel the car pick up fast and have head snapping torque. If he refuses to all this, then you know he's a fake. Besides whats the point of bragging about your car if you aint going to show it off. Why am I writing all this, we all know he's a fake already.

 

Well so far no responses yet from him. I came on here and asked cause I was wonderin what people thought if it was possible or not.

How much would somethin like this run to do? I guessed about 15K for the whole thing.

Anyways, this kid is a piece of **** whp tried trashtalkin me and said my car was slow when he still ahd his D16 only against my turbo B18. Lets just say he bitched up at the last moment. So far though he has kept true to his word by buying some Volks but that is still shy of the whole set-up. I will keep ya posted.

I can't wait to invite him on here to get flamed.

 

The 6 speed tranny that he was talkin about is so BS, the only way of getting 6 gears is with a X-Trac or Hewland sequenctial gear shifter and that'll cost him about 20 grand.

i have never understood why people lie so much about what their cars have. what's really the point? i mean, what kind of satisfaction can you possibly get out of it?

 

I don't know. I especially love that he decides to go with more gears on a turbo set-up. From what I gather, it is better to have longer gears and less shifting in order to be as fast as possible. I guess maybe he is thinking he can get better gas mielage or something.

haha, I had a guy at the track try tellin us he had a turbo and all kinds of stuff done to his car. He told EVERYone this lil lie... heh when he walked to the drinkstand and left his car alone me and my buddy popped his hood and we all flammed his *** for having a normal ol d16z with i/h/e lol he was pissed when he came back but i havent seen him at the track ever since.. lol that guy was just a poser... had blue acura emblems on his CIVIC.... my god... these people now days...
