Default bad CMC or CSC causing 5th grind?

Ok the story is this. My 5th gear has started to have a slight grind for a couple months. All other gears are fine, shifts fine. Now when I go to shift into 5th, 90% of the time I get a slight grind, almost like you didn't push the clutch in the whole way. I changed the tranny fluid got sycromesh, no change. I check the CMC under the dash at the fire wall and didn't notice any apparent leaking. My question is do you think that a bad CMC or CSC could cause this grind? One kind of last option I was going to do was to replace them both and see if that would fix it. Or do you think that there is no way that they could be the cause and it would just be a waste of money?

Edit: And one more thing I thought of. About 4 months ago before this started. I was driving my other car a lot and my gs-r sat for about 3 weeks untouched. When I went in to start it up the first time the clutch pedal was super spongy hardly any pressure. But after warming up and driving around pressure seemed to return to normal.
