Well, upon driving somewhat spirited tonight, my car wouldn't go into 3rd or 4th at high RPM and I had to go directly into 5th and cruise (5th was uncharacteristically easy to go into I might add). At the next stoplight it barely went into 1st and shuddered pretty violently and did the same going into 2nd. As I went home it progressively got worse (the violent shaking and inability to get into gear). But, it isnt very difficult to get out of gear ? Could it be the pressure plate even though it still disengages, bad clutch, bearing, or warped flywheel? I'm sure someone has an answer before I start tearing **** up There has also been a squeaking noise today and yest. that I couldn't narrow down and am pretty sure aided in this.

sounds like your clutch is on its last legs.

Yeah it is a stock B16 clutch, but supposedly replaced about 10-15k miles ago.

when the car is off, does it go into gears? sounds like a bad clutch but I kinda had the same problem and it ended up being the shift selector on the tranny.

Yeah car goes into gear fine with the car off, but with the car on I push in the clutch and the starts shaking.

Are you leaking gear oil or anything? That can be the problem as well.

Gear oil seems to be fine, and clutch fluid is normal. I just read a post by someone with similar problems, squeaking, trouble going into gear and shaking going into gear and turns out he had a broken clutch plate. So tomorrow I will more than like pull my tranny and look for a new clutch.
