So I just came home from my first deployment to find my honda running a little crappy. It has the a20a1 motor, ofcourse being carbureted.
When I try and turn it over, it stays on for a few seconds (meaning like 2) then shuts off. I definently smell gas when it shuts off. Also while revving it to keep it running, it sputters like hell, not to mention, half the time, it shuts off while I hit the pedal.

Anywhere to start? I am a little automotive experience, so feel free to use words/pictures. :-)

 

bad gas? I'd drain tank, and get some fresh fuel in it, change plugs, wires, and make sure everything is nice and tight...

 

dirty fuel and gummed carbs. should have unhooked fuel supply and ran carbs out of gas and drained tank before leaving.
