I am now starting the down hill on my turbo project. My focus now is the block, I want to run B20 Turbo w/ a Vtec head. What kind of Building in the Block area should i do, i am running a T3/T4 with this and am looking around 16-20 psi if i can make it in that set up. TH only thing is I have heard that the B20 blocks need some work to hold that. Need advise. I want to go all the way with the block so let me know budget is moderatly high. Anyone in the Houston area let me know.

 

low compression internales, stronger internals, maybe re-sleeve it. just make sure it's strong

 

I would resleeve it if you are going to run that amount of boost, B20 have a 7mm sleeve thickness vs 9mm of a b18. Good choice though my buddie made 240whp at 4psi with a b20vtec

What specifics do you need?

 

if you have the $ and want to get a sweet block, check out the DART block. I dont have the link on this machine, but search out Payne technologies, they sell it and have the info. its like $1900.00, but comes sleaved, with steel main caps, and is made of virgin aerospace grade aluminum. I am thinking about using this one myself, I am building it over the next year, maybe as much as 2 years, to build it right!! once!!

 

 

Speciffics meaning bottom end build up, and cam choice with a B16A head and a t3/t4 turbo application.
