On Monday i noticed that when i started my engine it sounded like a metal on metal sound. When the engine is warm, the sound seemed to dissappear. The sound has gotten worse sounding. Then i used a stethecope and determined the sound was coming from the driver side intake cam bearing.

After pulling all of the bearings, they all look good, so now i am confused.

Could it have been a bent valve making this sound? I will continue tearing down further when it cools down.

 

hmm... cam gear was loose, not sure how that happend since i never touched it.
