cam noise?

Default cam noise?

around my cam gear there is whining noise. does anyone know what this could be? it comes and goes I think. I already took the a/c, and power steering off and he timing belt was replaced about 2yrs ago. never head it until a month ago.

its also starting to get cold and my car will almost never get to normal operating temp. If this helps.

Does it sound anything like mine? I originally recorded the vids for the valve sounds, so ignore that. Only pay attention to the whining/whirring sound. Does it sound like yours? If it does, I've seen many many many civics that have that same sound for some reason. Normal I'm guessing.

kinda but I cant really hear it at high rpms and its more noticeable from inside my car because of my exhaust.

How about like this? Again, ignore the rod knock sound. This last one isn't my vid though. I'm just wondering what whining you're talking about. Can you possibly record a vid?

Have you changed the WATERPUMP, yet, that could be the whining you hear or the TIMING BELT TENSIONER? If that's not the problem, the alternator is pretty close to those parts and maybe the bearings on the alternator is going bad, that has a whining pitch to it, too!

Every Civic I've heard has that kinda whine. Even my old engine had that same whine.
