Default b18c1 tuning

my friend has a gsr in his hatch and has a fields vtec controller but i have some issues to figure out. one thing is the idle is at 1500 warm and it doens't go down. the guy i got the car from said that i have to put it to 0-1 to start the car and then after it wams up to put it to -28-1. is this right? also it seems to run rich up top around 6-8k. the power seems to go flat at about 6500-8k. could someone tell me the best way to set the controller till i get it on a dyno? thanks for any help

Well first thing is field is garbage. Had nothing but problems with mine. It's nota good idea to change the fuel sytem settings on that with the car running. It will eventually make your map sensor go haywire. As for changing the settings after you start it. I've never heard anything like that. I don't know why it would idle at 1500 warm. Does it it idle irratically at all?

wtf? Pull the fields out. There is a switch on the back, turn it off for a bit, turn it back on. It'll restore factory settings.

Find a dyno and have it tuned.

My fields was a POS, sometimes the car would stumble and want to die, tap the fields and the car would run fine. My car was harder to start with the fields too.. They are old technology.

Invest in an A'pexi VAFC

i think it's a piece of junk too.

the car runs a straight 1500. i made everything to the stock settings and it runs fine now even up top so i'm just going to trash that junk and get something else. thanks for the help.

I say turn that thing off and see how it does. As mentioned earlier there is a little switch on the back of the controller turn it off.
