Default A/F mixture at idle

I am having sort of a inconvinence. my supercharged h22 at cold idle tends to run so terribly rich, but as soon its at operating temp, its bone dry. I have already tried thinning out the fuel during idle, but it helps a little, but doesn't seem to get rid of the flooding problem. Any ideas?

Any chance you could translate terribly rich and bone dry into actual numbers? Are you using a wideband? Its normal for a car to run rich at cold idle? More info would help alot.

~10.1 when cold and ~17.5 warm

as soon as i start driving, it bobs normally where it is suppose to be.

what engine management are you using. sounds to me like your warm-up enrichment needs some tweaking

i've heard some bad things about emanage but never had the chance to use it. your best bet would be to get a chipped ecu with either hondata(if you got $$) or uberdata(if you don't got $$) to manage your setup. i have been running uberdata for about 2 years and i love it. just find someone that knows how uberdata works (or you just figure it out, its not that hard) and tune your car.

Thats great if this thread was about "What engine managment do i want to do with?" but i am discussing a/f at idle and how it should fix this drownding with a piggyback.

The e-manage has worked great for me so far and it costs about the same to buy all the crap i need to chip and burn, etc. so i'll just stay with what i have.

BTW does it help if i say i have a IACV plugged in but no hoses running to/from it.

what makes you so sure that a/f ratio is bad?? Did it just start doing this recently or did you just get a wideband and now you can see what it is? is the engine stalling at cold idle from flooding? At cold, the engine will run rich at idle and warm it will lean out which is normal. The cold idle does seem a little rich however but im not 100% sure on what it would usually run. I would think in the 12:1 range but I could be wrong. What rpm does it sit at when cold?

it sits at like 450 when cold when it doesn't die. But yea its terribly rich because if i pull vac lines it will keep running and when it dies it reaks terrilbly of raw gas.
