Default B18c1 crank in b20???

I just bought a bare b20 block, having trouble find a stock b20 crank, Can i use a b18c1 or not? (only reason i ask, gs-r cranks seems to be more avaiable..The block is sleeved and im looking to go all motor with jun type III's 12;1. Can b18c1 crank hold well at 84.5 mm sleeves? TIA

your gonna have to use the entire b18c rotating assembly. the crank has different sized jounals so rods from other b series will not work.

It'll shorten the stroke 1.8mm(-40cc), lower piston speeds, raise the r/s ratio to 1.58:1, and allow the use of stronger GSR & ITR OEM rods.

Why not use an ls crank from b18a/b? I know the rod and main journals are the same size as a b20. Anyone know for sure

The B20b/z crank is the same as the b18a/b crank.

The B18C crank will slightly destroke the B20 (89mm to 87.2mm), reducing displacement from 1972cc to 1927cc. But you will still have a higher displacement than an LS. And with the rod ratio improved from 1.54 to 1.58, it will be more relibale and rev-worthy. Also, as the other guy said, you can use the stronger B18C rods. As for the strength, the B18C crank is at least as strong as the B18A/B18B/B20 crank, if not stronger.
