What intake manifold is on it? That is the first and easiest way to tell.
The B18C-R motor came with a red valve cover on the PR3-x head, the USDM and JDM GSR's have P72 heads, different from all other B series vtec heads.

well it has a skunk2 intake manifold so that wont help me and valve covers are easily painted and switched up. Is there any other way of identifying whether or not this is the JDM GSR motor or the JDM ITR motor?
found it, it does say p72 so its the jdm gsr. thanks for your help. i was excited for a second when i saw the jdm type-r is also a b18c. i have the lsd tranny and a red valve cover so i thought by some chance maybe it was the R lol. oh well, still a quick little motor :]
