I replaced my b16a2 out of my 00 si because spun rod bearing i picked up an jdm b16a shortblock i put my old oil pump on for the crank angle put my old head on the engine put back in car lined up all marks for timing put new ngk plugs in dist is on #1 i have spark and fuel ive moved the dist back and forth alittle after cranking engine got cel its 02 heat code so im stumped at this point i have spark fuel air it should run

 

Recheck timing, cam angles, spark plug lead locations.

If you have fuel and spark it can only be timing.

Have you done a compression check? 94

 

I checked timing all is dead on and plug wires on correct checked comp #1 70 #2 85 #3 70 #4 75 this engine has not ran together both head and short block have sat at least 8mo to a year rings will need to reseat to get comp im thinking

Remove plugs, squirt some oil into cylinders, crank engine over several times, reinstall plugs and try starting engine again. 94

 

I put some oil in cylinders and got it to run thanks for the help fcm
