ok so i replaced the old gauge wire from my battery to my fuse box with biger guage and im still having the same problem. well i jumped the car and a buddy was wiggling the ground to the alternator and the lights were diming inside and then getting brighter. the wire was loose and was able to move up and down. we tried to put a washer on it and went to jump it to see if it would recharge my battery well i cranked it over and wouldnt start but it started smoking and the other end of that wire broke off and im not sure if it broke off and was arching thats why it was smoking tomorrow going to redo the end on that and see wat happens but could that be the reason its not charging my battery?
