axle replacement question
i have a 1990 rs and my right front axle is bad. so my question is how difficult wouls it be to do it myself. should i even try or should i just bring it to a shop and have them take care of it
It's not hard at all, ya just gotta have the right tools.
Basically, IIRC, you will unbolt the bottom ball joint and swing the hub assembly out to the side. Use an impact gun and remove the big 36mm axle nut first, though. Then the end of the axle will pull out of the hub. Then hop under the car and use a big flathead screwdriver to pry the axle out of the tranny. Pull it out, and install the new one in the reverse order.

search a bit for "axle replace" or something. somebody did a great write up on here with pics and tools needed, etc.
