Default axle pops out often. Why???

the car was bought like this. it has ls swap(93 civic) with a rigged cable tranny. i drive it for like lets say 100mi. and the axle pops out and i have to push it back in and run again till it pops out again. What could this be? could it be the wrong axle? is it the tranny?

next time its out, look at the end of the splines and make sure the snap ring is there.

And if things don't seem to pan out with that, you may want to try a junkyard or somewhere you can get a used NON-BROKEN axle that you can pop in there, hell for all you know since you bought the car that way someone might have rigged a half-assed axle job just to get the car moving so you'd buy it and it might not have the correct splines in it.

Yeah I'd try another axle, yours may be a bit short.

Yeah, I had to go back to AutoZone three times to get the right sized axle.

on the part of the axle that goes into the tranny make sure the splines on the very end of the axle arent chewed up. most likely the problem is the "C" clip thats on the end of the axle isnt opened up enough and not clipping into the tranmission correctly. just pop off the "C" clip and open it up a little bit.
