automatic conversion to 5spd
I bought my 95 civic coupe in January of this year. so far ive gone through one transmission, timing belt, and some other stuff. its a dx automatic. i bought the car completely stock. ive put dc ceramics 4-2-1, custom products cold air intake, 2 inch cat with matrix exhaust, and i advanced my timing by about 2 degrees. its pretty quick for a dx automatic, but slow as hell compared to anything else. i lose all the time when i run. i shouldnt be complaining, i should be doing something about it. i dont want a new car. i love my car. i just wish it were a 5spd. ive talked to people about a conversion to a manual trani. its pretty expensive everywhere i look. if anyone can let me know where a professional shop in socal is,that would do this, please let me know. im serious bout doing this, so get at me...anybody!
im currently doing a 5speed conversion with my automatic integra. its possible to convert it with the right amount of money, and might i add time consuming. labor costed me $400, $220 for fidanza 8lb flywheel, $245 for stage1 exedy clutch, $160 for shift linkage/master clutch cylinder and pedal assembly. $100 for ECU, about $350 for the LS transmission. $130 for axles. everything else i got for free. very costy project!
