Default auto to manual

ok here is the deal i got an ecu it is a chipped p28 and i just noticed that it is a auto ecu what do i need to do to make it a manual i have found some site and it says
"remove RP17 and RP18
replace RP18 with a jumper wire "

now does that mean to just run a simple wire on rp18 or should i just remove the rp17 and leave the pr18 alone? let me know if anyone has done it and what should i do with it
thanks

Default Re: auto to manual (mrnice1058)

it means remove both and just connect the two points on rp18 with a wire or something.
