Default anyone ever had this tps problem?

my motor is running really slow, throwing a tps code. ive tried three different tps sensors and the most voltage i could get out of either of them was 1.5v at WOT and 0v at closed throttle. whats going on here guys?

Check to see that you have 5 volts going to the sensor and the ground to the sensor is intact.

yup there's five volts going to it. i can get it to read .5 at closed throttle but when i turn it to wot throttle it wont get up to 4.5v...

Going to make this difficult...heh?

We need to isolate subsystems/components to find the problem. I would disconnect the connector from the TPS and try to make the following measurements with an ohm meter, nominally with the throttle closed.

Measure between pins 1 and 2, resistance should be between 500 to 900 ohms.

Measure between pins 2 and 3, resistance should be between 3600 and 5400 ohms.

If you pass this test, connect ohmmeter between pins 1 and 2 and rotate throttle. The resistance should smoothly increase from around 500 ish ohms to around 5000 ohms.

Make this test on you other TPS's if you still have them. Compare results and post. We'll see what is next from your results.

well i found out my no power issue. my #4 injector plug was messed up so i just bent the little metal prong back down and it seems to be doing okay now. but ive gotta new throttle body and tps on the way so hopefully that helps that problem.
