All-motor or boost?
I currently have my motor out of my car to do some miscelaneous things. Such as bearings and some machine work. At the same time i figured i may consider boosting it since the motor is out. I was considering piecing together my own kit. As i started to do some reasearch i have heard horror stories of people budget boosting their cars. I was wondering at this point would i be better to spend money on a turbo or continue on the path of all motor? The hitch is money, it is a b18c and broken parts are not cheap to replace. If i am on a budget is it still worth the risks?
If you are on a budget dont consider boosting, eventually you will wear out the stock motor and its componets, if i were you stick with the N/A setup, i have a buddy pushing 217WHP on a N/A b18c... but it would be easier to bulid up the motor for boost or NA since it is out of the car already..
Either way you will spend 5K or more buliding your motor..

The comment aobut boosting being harder on your motor is so...WRONG! Boosting a motor isnt any harder on your motor. Revving your all-motor b18-?!@ what ever to 9500+ grand is going to be much harder than revving your boosted motor to 8k. Revving your motor so high puts stress on everything!
I would personally say turbo it, bc I happen to have a thing for boost
However, it does cost more money. Just do what you can afford and what floats your boat. I mean, its your car, your setup, your project. What do you want? An all motor beast or a boosted beast?!
good luck and have fun with it
