agh, stupid stupid I must be?
i woke up in a hury, let the car warm up, and left my friends house. As i was driving, the guy behind me was riding my ***, so I got on it in 2nd. As i went through neutral slowly the rpm never came back down and contuined to bounce off the redline. I shut the car down and coast it down to a parking lot. What in the world would cause this.
-when i start car it heads for redline
-the throttle cable is fine
-what could the problem be?
-since i was tired I called a friend not thinking about much
Could the throttle have stayed open while throttle cable is still in normal position.
please help, i would like to fix car without having to tow, I have no money.

check the butterfly on the TB... it may be stuck open when the cable itself is fine...

car is fixed, like i said i am stupid, my JG VictorX mani lost a maifold plug the great big one on the right side making a huge leak causing high rpm. It is was not tight enough and it vibrated out i guess.
the thing that sucks is, not only does my car feel slugicious which might mean that i hurt something in the head. but my friend that was running me around to get parts totaled his car following me to his house.

my friend had a similar problem with his crx dohc ZC... those damn aftermarket pedal screws would stick into the floormat... his tb butterfly would also get stuck as a result of not greasing it time to time... *didnt know you had to grease them but hey its metal, and i guess the throttle was wide open so much (
) it just ended up sticking there after a while...
