im using gators race axles and i have no complaints...they also make street axles that are pretty heavy duty...a little pricey but worth it

A lot of people run high HP on OEM or OEM replacement axles. The key is to preload the clutch on launch instead of just dropping it.

Search "clutch preload" and you should find several threads about this. It's basically holding the clutch right at the slipping point and setting your launch RPM with the throttle while using the hand brake to keep the car in place. When it's time to go, you release the clutch/press the throttle(or continue to do so if you have launch control built-in to your EMS)/and drop the hand brake all at once. This takes reduces the typical strain from the usual launch technique of just dropping the clutch at high RPM. Since you aren't dropping the clutch the drivetrain doesn't get shocked, which is usually when people break axles with higher HP/wheel hop.
