Default slipping the clutch or dumping it?

Will slipping the clutch help save your tranny/axles? I have a clutchnet six puck, some of my friends
said I shouldn't dump the clutch when launching because I will break my axles. Is this true? Because
I'm having hard time being consistent with this type of launch.

the diff will explode before the axles most of the time.

I run full face discs so that they slip just a little.
