99' civic si won't start.........
last night i was at a stoplight, and as soon as i took off, my car died. i thought it was the fuel pump, so i replaced it. still won't start. checked the plugs, fine. checked spark.......no spark! replaced the ignitor and ignition coil. still won't start, and still no spark. lately the car has been taking a little more time than usual to start. just takes a few more cranks from the starter than usual. that's what made me think it could be the fuel pump. oh yeah, i am also getting fuel. i am not getting a check engine light. i'm thinking maybe it's the ECU??? i'm really stumped and would appericiate any help! thanks
the car only has 40000, the cap and rotor should be fine. i inspected them both and there isn't any substantial wear on either. i think it's gonna be something more complicated. thanks for the help though

You thought it was the fuel pump so you replaced it with out checking? hahaha
on a 99?hahaha I have put a lot of miles on hondas...never had a fuel pump break on me. Sorry...I know this doesn't help your problem...it has to be something simple...starter? battery...fuses
please post what was wrong when you find out...I'd like to know.

THat's what I've done before and that's what I'll always do first.. Borrow a friend's part and see if it works on my car.. Good thinking!
