B18-P75 ECU

the previous owner stated that he had replaced the ignition switch recently so that was my first guess but havent tried to replace it yet.
When i turn the key, the dash lights up and the radio comes on but when i go to crank it, the starter doesnt try to start.

the other day i noticed i had to kind of hold the key for a second before the starter kicked in..

does this sound like an igntion switch?

i also took off the contact piece where the wires go into on the left side and cleaned the contacts and still nothing...

the previous owner also stated that he disabled the clutch safety for starting the car but that doesnt explain the fact that i held the key the other day for a few seconds and then it started..

i know im all over the place but yeah, thats where im at....

 

to get it to the shop, can i just have the key in the on postion and jump the starter to the battery?

 

As long as the transmission is in neutral... yes.
