I have a 97 hatch earlier today right before I was to leave my house. I noticed when I pressed in the clutch turn ignition to start my car won't turnover.so I checked all connections,battery everything seem to be good.so I'm thinking it could be the alarm so what I did was disconnect the brain so that the starter kill will be disable but that wasn't the problem. So I'm thinking its the clutch switch so what I do is I pulled out the harmess from switch and jumped it (same was how you pull codes for ecl) still yet car won't crank. So what I do next is check all fuses (there all good) so by now I'm irritated trying to figure it out. Next thing pop in my head try jumping the starter (pulled terinal off starter and taped a wire from starter to the positive on the battery with key on. Now it STARTS***. So now I know that the starter is good. Could my ignition switch be bad? If I can't figure out the problem tomorrow morning I will just run a push start button.

Any sugestions? Can someone help me out? thanks
