Default 6000rpm bog....help!

hey guys! its my first time here. anyway, i need help for my friends b16. it runs fine until it hits 6000rpm then it bogs down just b4 the vtech kicks in..then it runs strong. got tips?

sounds like your vtec is kicking in too late.

so, if my vtech kicks in late, does that mean that theres a problem with the computer or just in the vtech area? where should i start trouble shooting?

nope... no light. its really confusing. i've taken all the guys input but havent applied them yet. i'll check the car tom and give some feedbacks here. pls.. keep them ideas comin! thanks

guys! thanks again for all your inputs on this matter. a freind of ours found a remedy by simply installing a v-tech controller. its now performing well
