GC springs....semi-progressive??
When I purchased my GC's about 4 year ago I remember reading that they were semi-progressive......
If this is true, would there be any real benefit from upgrading to fully linear ERS, with the same rates???
In additon, if I run ERS springs only in the rear, will having semi-progressive front springs hinder performance????
(This is a daily driven car, it is autox'd on a regular basis . Current setup is OTS rate GC's, Tokico Illumina, ST front sway bar, OEM SI rear sway.)

Re: GC springs....semi-progressive?? (vtecvoodoo)
when measured from free length, i don't think a truely linear close-ended helical spring exists. that's why eibach measures their spring rates by first compressing the spring to 20% of it's usable length. perhaps this is where the term "semi-progressive" popped in...or would that be "semi-linear?"
verbatim, is it even possible for a helical spring to be semi-progressive? i can't picture it; it's either progressive, linear, poorly designed (making the spring unpredictably and/or unintentionally progressive)...or organic?! semi-progressive springs... sounds romulan to me
EDIT: sheiste...now i can't stop thinking about this. why should i care what hooke says...HE'S DEAD!!!

Also, adding a linear tender spring to your main spring will create a progressive rate (if your car can bind up the tender).
If you add a progressive tender to a linear spring, you could end up with a triple rate progressive system (if your car can completely bind up the tender).
