Quick Question: Does a CHP Ref Report Stay with a Car When Sold?
i bought a da with a b16 and the guy that had it before me had got pulled over by chp and got the hood popped and had to get it reffed
does it stay with the car even if he sold it?
or does the ticket just stay with him?
are they gonna tell me to get it reffered??

i could be wrong but the responsibility lies on the previous owner...the court doesnt know you've been reff'd unless they see the sticker on the back of the ticket

He shouldnt have sold the car. It shouldnt have "passed" smog anyways for transfer of owership. You will most likely have to get the car BAR'd or put it back to stock.
