Looking for expert Honda mechanic near Burbank
I'm looking for someone with extensive experience with Hondas. Specifically I need someone who can figure out why my 93 VX is doing the part throttle hesitation at operating temp (doesn't do it when cold).
The car has:
Correct timing
Recently adjusted valves
New plugs,
New OEM honda wires
New distributor/cap/rotor
New fuel filter
I originally thought it was the 02 sensor but I changed it out with no change in the hesitation. Next thing I thought was, it could be the EGR but I had a mechanic run some tests and he said the valves are opening and closing just fine so it's not that and that he thinks it could be "weak clutch springs" and I should just drive it at higher RPMs because it's a Honda and they're made to rev high :/ When i told him it's affecting my MPG as well and i'm losing 10mpg from 46-36mpg he says "Oh, well that car should be getting in the 30s no problem I don't know about it getting that high mileage." wtf??
So... I'm tired of dealing with dumb ****s excuse my french. I need a HONDA specialist. help plz!

You need to find someone who can graph the tps. I don't have the equipment to do it. But when the sensor gets hot it could he malfunctioning.

ah... ok so say I do that, get the new TPS in. What about adjusting it to the proper specs? I read somewhere on here that you have to do that.

it's not the TPS because it runs fine when the 02 isn't plugged in. I have a thread going on about this. it's not the 02 either.
