Default Throwing CEL 21 and 22 still.

Ok, maybe the last post was vague, but I'm still throwing CEL 21 and 22. I didn't have the wire to the vtec solenoid hooked up, so I figured it would stop throwing these codes when I hooked it up, but no. Anyone have any suggestions?

After you hooked up your VTEC wires did you restart your ecu (thats how youll get ried of the code)? If yes then take off the VTEC solenoid (sp?) and spray some carb cleaner in it and clean off the screen and try it again. If still nothing (and everythings wired up right) then you might need a new solenoid.

Well there was no screen in it.....

Reset ecu = pull ecu fuse in fuse box when car is off for 10 seconds?

You need to pull the 7.5A radio backup fuse.

I'm still throwing code 22..... 21 is gone. I replaced the solenoid from my d15b with the one from my VX, but it still throws 22. Do I need to swap out the lower half? Also, the lower half doesnt have a port for a plug like in some diagrams I've seen. Any ideas?

Whenever you do something are you resetting the ecu? Because you could have fixed it but not know because of that. Also if your going to swap VTEC Solenoids swap the whole thing, top and bottom.

Grab a digital multimeter and do a continuity check on D6 and the Blu/Blk wire on the pressure switch.

make sure the thermostat ground is also properly connected.

I would try replacing the v-tec solenoid gasket. I think it is like $14 at Honda. Even if it does not solve the problem, although it did in my case, it is good to replace if you had the solenoid off a few times.
