will a d16z6 head work on a d16y8 block?
if so will my compression chance or ***** power?

Your compression will be lower and that will affect hp.

The lower the compression #, the lower the hp/tq output. The higher the compression #, the higher the hp/tq output.

before it blew from hydro lock it ran 13.73 at 98 mph with 2 cyls low on compression
