GM synchromesh bad in long run?
I was recently aware of my 3rd gear grinding a bit. So i want to change my tranny fluid to GM Synchromesh to get rid of the problem. I thought the GM was good for the long run of the tranny, but I hear otherwise. If I dont hear any definate answers, im going with honda MTF as usual, hope that helps.
So anyone with Synchromesh for a long time?
So anyone with Synchromesh for a long time?
i seen some people on here saying they have been useing it for like a year and no problems. i would like to know if anyone has been using it longer. i am about to get some for my tranny.
I just picked up 3 quarts of synchromesh at 11.34 a quart plus tax. Got me the 12377916 modified. Jesus, this stuff smells like a 1500 GM tranny, its harsh compared to the smell of my honda MTF. Well I hope all the advice goes to use or my tranny is screwed! I dont have an LSD

When I shift at 7k or higher into 4th, it makes this nasty sound. I'll be using honda mtf. If it does the same thing i'll try synchromesh. If it does it again it's new tranny time. I hope i don't have to go to the chevy dealer.
