Default Smoking problem...need D series or anyones help

My friend has a y7 with a y8 manifold on it. It has had a vacuum leak for a while now. Last night we fixed it by plugging the small holes in the IM flange that only come on 99-00 y8 IMs.

It fixed the problem, he drove it for a mile or two, and the car started to stumble and want to cut off. He pulled over and called me. When i get there, there was smoke coming from the exhaust and around the turbo/exh manifold area. It doesnt smell like coolant or oil specifically.

I pulled the plugs, they are glossy black(ive never seen any plugs this shiny), heres a picture

im not sure if thats from running extremely rich...which in that case, what would happen if the resistor box wiring some how came loose or the resistor box took a **** on us(has 450 dsms)

could something be clogging the exhaust and causing the smoke?

pcv?

any help is greatly appreciated. btw its a greddy kit on the motor, afc(not the hack, wired normally)

Its my understanding that if your resistor box went bad (never heard of it happening) that you will fry components in the ECU.

you need to adjust your afc to run those 450's , did you do that?

yes, afc is adjusted, were using settings from the previous owner of the kit that had it tuned with the EXACT same setup. So that answers the question about being a new kit, and if its tuned to 450s

it ran fine with the 450s installed for almost a week, it only happened after we took the IM off and filled the cold air idle holes(i think) to seal the leak
