HELP, Mini-Me Problems
I just finished installing my y8 head on my y7 block and had everything hooked up to what i thought was the right lines and everything, i went to start it up and it just shutters and dieds, and when i give it gas i have no throttle response????
the only thing i can think up is my IACV, i looked at my friends d16y8 and i have the coolent line from the back of the throttle body going to the close connector on the IACV and the out let on the iacv running to the coolent return under the manifold. also i have a y8 manifold too. any help would be great. also the nipple coming off of the front of the manifold i have running to the black box under the manifold. if you see any problems please reply Asap need my car running

i know nothing about minime swaps, but i ran into this problem with my H22 swap and it turned it it was the IACV. then when i got a new iacv, it ran a bit better, but still shitty and i then realized the wiring harness i had bought was fucked up. hopefully this gets you off in the right direction..

Re: HELP, Mini-Me Problems (EK22snatch)
yeah i was thinking it might be my iacv, but i am not throwing a code for it, i will check it out, and other ideas would be great. and i was also wondering people talk about having you timing off 180 degrees when i go to put my dizzy on it only goes on one way, and when i turn the par t that goes on to the cam shaft 180 degrees it won't go on, is that what its spose to do

Sounds like symptoms of the old map/tps sensor plug mix-up.
You map sensor plug should be in the same sub-harness as your IAT

Are they the same as you used before, or are they from a different car?
Does sounds like a problem related,or timing...but not something like an IACV.
I have had many IACV issues with y7-y8 swaps, none of which had these same characteristics
