the thing is... i cant get a faster time slip than 15.8 or so.... having 150+ thousand miles sucks.....help please!!!!

it could be expensive to go NA with a b18b. you gotta build the internals if you want to get better times. a b16 tranny can also help because it has shorter gears. there are threads on NA b18b's. try to search for it and im sure you'll get some answers

if you a quick want all motor ls, YOU NEED MORE MONEY THAN YOU WOULD TURBO! all motor is expensive! if you want the best bang for your buck, go nitrous

well i wouldnt advice him to go turbo right now. he say's he's low on cash so i dont think he'll be able to afford a $2000+ turbo kit right now. and he has high mileage too, which isnt a good idea for turboing.

i have a LS right now. the last time i took my car to the track (3 months ago) i was hitting 15.9's with only intake and exhaust with PS and AC belts still on the car. since then i added a 4-1 header, MSD ignition and blaster coil, NGK wires and plugs. dont know what times i'll be getting with those extra mods. maybe 15.6-15.8?

But i just ordered some CROWER stage 2 cams and valve springs and will be installing them next week hopefully. should give me about 12-15 HP to the wheels and a low 15 sec et or maybe high 14's.

If ur gonna stay all motor these are my suggestions (this is what i'll be doing in the future to my car)

-CROWER cams (either the 62403 stage 2 or 62404 stage 3) with upgraded valve springs. ($360 for cams, $250-300 for valve springs and retainers)
-B16 Tranny. shorter gear ratio's will mean lower et's in the 1/4 mile ($300-600)
-High compression pistons. im gonna get ITR pistons ($200)
-BBK or STR throttle body with skunk2 IM ($400-500)

then for a little more boost, im gonna spray a small 40 or 50 shot! ($500)

for free power and a little faster et's remove ur Power steering and AC belts when u go to the track and do a spark plug and wire change to regain some lost HP)

it aint cheap to mod ur car. i feel ur pain im also a struggling collge student with no job!

awesome... i was actually looking into the exact same cams the other day.... my only real goal is to drop to the low 15s maybe even very high 14s, i think that would be pretty respectable for a non vtec integra.

lol it's funny to see you price out pistons as $200, what about installation and ALL the gaskets/bearings/bolts you need? it's much more than $200 my man.

basically having pistons put in is like an entire engine rebuild, and that's not cheap.

nitrous is another thing that i was considering... my friend has a 55 shot of zex on his GSR with 140000 miles on it. i was kind of worried about the miles but his has been running strong since he got the nitrous

Nitrous is definately the most cost-effective way to add horsepower. You could get a used dry kit for ~$200, and be running low 14's or less...

Turbo can be more expensive than all-motor sometimes! I built my NA LS for less than $2000, however I already had a different tranny from the start! LS's are super cheap to build compared to vtec's, but my suggestion is if you are low on cash then N2O is the way to go!

turbo is the way to go, for power. But, since you have a goal of low 15s and maybe high 14s, then yah what was stated earlier with the 403s or 404s with some internal works would be great for you. Also ditch the LS tranny for allmotor, oh man are the gears long. I used to hang with gsrs with p&p head and some gude cams(untuned) in my auto LS. Now its stick and gonna be boosting soon. Good luck

thats not a lofty goal, you should be able to make low 14 with all motor on an ls and be a good daily driver.

thanks for that. slipped my mind. Im gonna be doing all the installations myself when i build up my block: rod bearings, head gaskets, new head studs, fee for machine shop to press in the wrist pins to the LS rod and pistons. probably gonna be over $400 for everything. the pistons will be the last thing i install on my car.
after i install my cams next week, im gonna do a B16 tranny swap with ACT streetlite flywheel and exedy clutch.... Im just hoping to put my car in the mid 14's

slap on a B16 or ITR tranny and drop the whole setup in a CRX or hatch and you'll run 14's easily with little or no mods. but i'm sure that's not what you want to do.

What kind of integra? Still a B16 tranny will make a world of a difference, and then just lighten up your car
