This is my friends car(the guy standinging there). We're wondering how we are suppose to close the hood w/that wastegate all in the way?

 

a 90 degree fitting on top of the wastegate should help, if all else fails you can make a elbow to mount it sideways.

Yep, what he said...
Mine still bumps the hood with the 90 degree fitting, but at least it closes. The best bet would be to cut a little chunk of the metal out from the area it is hitting...that or hammer it in enough to clear.
I thought of attaching a rubber gasket to the hood to just sit firmly against the top of the wastegate, but I can't think of any way to keep it from coming off the hood.

 

Thats everyone. Thats my car and I gotta get the hood to close before I drive 550 miles to get the hondata installed and tuned. Where can I find a 90 degree fitting at? Any local parts store ( napa or auto zone)?

 

muffler shop can hook ya up for like $15 or $20

Do I even need to use the top fitting with the apex boost controller?

 

This probably isnt too helpful, but a small bump in your hood (like eclipses have) might look pretty cool? And it would be functional.
