Default sparkly oil? gold flakes?

i had noticed that my teg is running a lil sluggish so i change oil, plugs etc. but i noticed the oil had like gold glitter in it, the oil pan i used was dirty from my bro in laws bug...I am pretty sure it was from my car..could that be the start of the rings going?

What are those? Part numbers and prices for bearings? HAHA.

If so....umm....bearings are VERY cheap. It's installing them and rebuilding the entire motor outside of the bearings that's expensive. That's what you have to worry about.

What exactly is that post?

yeah thats part #'s for bearings...I was planning on doing a rebuild, at least after mid sept. I wont have cash untill then...

I am a newbie to imports but have rebuilt a 305 (Chevy Malibu classic wagon) so with the bearing being messed up I can get my teg hooked up. I guess this is a burden and a blessing in one.

I dont want to go LS/Vtec but I do want to go FI...I am going to check out possible routes I can take. What has been done that you guys would recommend?? I am going to have about a 2k budget. thanks

OK,

I came home earlyer today and my Dad got a few quarts of oil and tells me lest see if your bearings are stripping alot. So we have a few beers....allowing the car to cool...

Drain 4 day old oil, check it out in the bright cali sun...and its clean, no sparkle, no shavings, nothing. To be sure I used pantyhose to strain the oil a few times from container to container, and nothing...I am super paranoid, so do you think I could have seen something else?

I did use FI cleaner in the tank. I usually run it a few miles with the cleaner in the system before and after oil changes...thanks for reading...
